Dr. Jessica Lizana was born in Lima-Peru, where she earned her Dental degree in 1998. She received her California Dental License in 2006. Dr. Lizana is a member of ADA (American Dental Association), CDA (California Dental Association) and SFDS (San Fernando Dental Society).

She is a highly trained Cosmetic and Restorative Dentist, staying educated and up to date on the newest advances in Dentistry. Dr. Lizana decided to combine her experience and passion for dentistry and health to create "SDS -Smile Design Studio".

The professionals at SDS deliver first class clinical and customer service. They provide the most advanced dentistry in a very relaxing environment.

Beyond Dr. Lizana's clinical and academic achievements, patients mostly know her for her caring nature, gentle touch and friendly personality.

Dr. Daniel Yacoob graduated from McGill University in 2008, and later completed the remainder of his training at UCSF for Dentistry, Medicine and Oral Surgery. He is passionate about all aspects of his profession with emphasis and enjoys participating in global health initiatives. He grew up for most of his life in Southern California, and after ten years in San Francisco is excited to join Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of Chicago. Whether it is wisdom tooth removal or reconstructive jaw, Dr. Yacoob understands the importance of patient centered care and the need for collaboration in order to achieve optimal results.

Outside of work, Dr. Yacoob enjoys cooking, outdoor activities and sports as well as community outreach projects.

Dr. Ho-Yin Leung grew up in Southern California where he attended Bishop Amat High School (La Puente, CA). Dr. Leung became a periodontist because he felt that was the best way he could help patients improve their smiles through treatment and prevention. He is a highly skilled and knowledgeable periodontist who believes in delivering the highest quality dental care to his patients. He is experienced in all phases of modern periodontal therapy and dental implant placement, using advanced techniques and materials. Dr. Leung is married to Dr. Marie Dizon (Pediatric Dentist) and enjoys spending time with his children, Ayden and Adelynn.

Dr. Leung pursued his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and Master of Science in Biological Sciences at University of California, San Diego between 2001 and 2007. He, then, completed his Doctoral degree in Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 2014 and his specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery in 2017 at UCLA School of Dentistry. He became a Board Certified Periodontist in 2018.

Dr. Leung has taught at the university graduate level in both UCSD and UCLA as a graduate student and a resident for many years. He is currently a clinical adjunct faculty at UCLA School of Dentistry mentoring future dentists. Dr. Leung had also involved with numerous research effort and co-authored articles in peer-review journals while he was a research associates at UCSD, Caltech, and UCLA.

Dr. Adriana Hurtado was born in Colombia, South America where she obtained her title of Dentist at Pontificia Javeriana University and later went on to specialize in orthodontics at Nueva Granada Military School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She has been a dentist in the state of California since 2007.

For 20 years, she has dedicated her practice to orthodontics treatments in both adults and children. Her biggest satisfaction is being able to bring a beautiful smile to her patients, along with an aesthetic and functional balance that raises the patient’s self esteem.

Her work is very high quality and she makes an effort to not only worry about the patient's mouth but also for the patient’s themselves as human beings. The patient to doctor interaction is one of her favorite things about her practice.

Dr. Hurtado is very innovative and offers a variety of treatment options and techniques depending on the needs of the patients making sure she gets the best possible result in each case she takes on.

The passion that she has for her craft has helped thousands of patients obtain a beautiful smile. Her love for kids is also visible in her practice as she has two kids of her own.

Dr. Hurtado also continues to stay updated with the latest technology attending conferences and seminars every year. She recognizes that every patient is different which is why every treatment is specific depending on whether the patient is kid, teenager, or adult. In some adult cases, Dr. Hurtado even combines orthodontics with rehabilitation to obtain the best result possible.
